Set oven to 400 degrees F and allow to preheat.

In the meantime, place a medium skillet pan over medium heat.

When hot, add oil and onion and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until nicely golden brown.

While onions are cooking, crack eggs in a bowl, add basil, season with salt and black pepper and whisk until blended.

Pour this mixture into onion mixture and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until edges start turning opaque.

Then top frittata with tomatoes and cheese and transfer pan into the oven.

Cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until frittata is cook through and the top is nicely golden brown.

Serve straightaway. Enjoy!
